The project is funded under a collaborative grant scheme for innovative project ideas funded by the Ministry of Finance of Montenegro. The aim of the project is to initiate and promote model-based education and training, in order to improve research capacities and bridge the mismatch between the skills needed in the labour market and those offered by the education system.

Open Mind Academy- Build Your Future With Technology 3D held in ProDe Lab

Open Mind Academy is organized for high school students who want to gain practical experience in one of the most current areas using modern technologies such as 3D printing, design, programming, drones, artificial intelligence and others, in collaboration with professors and associates at the University of Donja Gorica.

In the second week of June, ProDe team worked on a prototype of a buckle for the belt for Graduation thesis. It is the original idea by a student from Faculty of Design and multimedia (UDG), Kristina Mitrovic. The theme for her Graduation thesis was “From industrial to unique product”.

Organizational Achievement Award for participation in international student competition in China

The team of undergraduate and postgraduate students of the Faculty of Polytechnics, University of Donja Gorica, under the mentorship of teaching associates, was awarded with the Organizational Achievement Award for participation in this year's competition within the international student competition in architecture and design organized by Belt and Road Architectural University International Consortium (BRAUIC), under the auspices of the Beijing University of Civil Engineering and Architecture (BUCEA).

ProDe lab has been part of the international Fab lab community since 2015 and has now updated its profile to an SDG profile.

DAYS OF SCIENCE AND INNOVATION 2022

The Days of Science and Innovation festival, as the central annual event of the Ministry of Science and Technological Development, aims to bring science and innovation closer to the widest population. The Days of Science and Innovation was held in the period from September 29th to October 2nd, 2022, and the sponsor of the festival was the "Five G" brand. This event is primarily intended for the promotion of new technological knowledge and skills in the field of 3D technologies, laboratories in the area of food quality and safety, studies for those who are oriented towards films and media, and the fun world of mathematics. The program within the festival included a wide range of events, exhibitions, workshops, presentations and panels, where public institutions, state and private faculties, non-governmental organizations, private companies, startups, business incubators and other subjects of scientific research and innovation activities took part. Participants were welcomed at rigorous workshops, based on the latest trends and technologies, organized by professors, associates and students of the University of Donja Gorica, UDG. Through a unique combination of learning and fun, students from primary and secondary schools got the opportunity to learn about the most sought-after knowledge and professions in the field of 3D printing for beginners in ProDe laboratory at the University of Donja Gorica, through laboratory practice and work that was held by colleagues Sara Djikanovic, BSc ing. polytech. and Bojana Sternisa, MSc arh. European night of researchers – SHAPE YOUR FUTURE

ProDe laboratory participated and contributed to celebrate science and the importance of scientific research in overall social development at the Festival of Science „European night of researchers in 2022“. The festival was held on September 30th, simultaneously in over 200 European cities, and the slogan of this year's manifestation in Montenegro was „Shape the future“ organized by Foundation for Promotion of Science PRONA and Natural History Museum of Montenegro. This Festival brings together young researchers and representatives of educational institutions, institutes, non-governmental organizations, companies, as well as independent researchers. The twelve-hour program, from noon to midnight, was dedicated to science and scientific achievements, as well as the changes brought by new technologies that dramatically change the world. Through experiments, interactive presentations, workshops, open laboratories, scientific panels, scientific lectures and excursions, young people had the opportunity to become familiar with scientific achievements. When it comes to ProDe laboratory, it was introduced to the visitors of the festival under the name „Build Your Future With 3D Technology“ and was presented by the Lead engineer of the laboratory, Sara Djikanovic as well as students from the bachelor students at Faculty of Polytechnics.

Days of Polytechnics 2022

Monday, October 17th, 2022.

The opening of the Days of Polytechnics 2022 event was held on Thursday, October 6 at 1:00 p.m. in the UDG Gallery. This year's event was held on the jubilee 11th year since the establishment of the Faculty of Polytechnics. The agenda of the event was varied and included: promotion of student projects and activities, forum of the Engineering Chamber of Montenegro, a visit to the construction site of SAMBIC construction and outdoor lecture dedicated to the memorials. The exhibition of student works was on display in the hall for the next few days. At the exhibition, 18 student project works were presented, related to the subjects: Architectural Design 1, Architectural Design 2, Landscape Architecture and Diploma Thesis.

In the Laboratory for the mechanical testing of materials, which was established through the project "Research and education based on physical models of real engineering structures" and implemented through the IPA Program of the EU and Montenegro for employment, education and social protection, laboratory testing was demonstrated for students of the third year of study at subject Calculation of constructive systems 1.
